WOW WOW WOW!!! Hold on I just- I need to process whats going on here.

This one was more complicated than the other 2 books and IM HERE FOR IT. The tension between Stephen and Lord Crane was ssoo ssoo amazing. A lot of creepy and disturbing but shockingly wonderful fight between stephen and those magician (sorry i forgot the name) was just so good.

4.5/5 stars!!

I so very much appreciate a fight that doesn’t end the relationship. They get annoyed, they fight, and then they talk to each other about it.

I guess some magic stuff happens to, but the relationship bit makes me happy

A worthy ending to the series, though I'm definitely still reading the short stories. (And the spinoffs.) For a satisfying conclusion, I'm giving 5/5 stars when books 1 and 2 were 4/5.

Victorian England with sorcery is definitely my thing and the series has been very good, but still I wasn't utterly blown away like I was with Will Darling series, which is to die for. Still, no complaints, the whole series is great - both the romance and the mystery plots. Plenty of gruesome necromancy and a sweet love story. Great characters, the main couple and several side characters.
