In each book, we learn a bit about the pasts of the three main guys in this series. Kingston's sister, Cannon's medical condition and his childhood, and in this book, we learn about Archer's dark secret. Each of the traumas the men went through, Elliott has gone through similar or can at least sympathize with. It helps to bring them that much closer.
Since this is the last book of the trilogy, we finally learn Will's fate and who's behind his disappearance, as well as who was leaving the notes for Elliott, trying to scare her out of the brotherhood. The answers aren't obvious, which is perfect for those who like to be a bit surprised!
I was briefly disappointed that a couple of things weren't touched on by the end of the book, but there's a bonus epilogue you can get when you subscribe to the author's newsletters that does give us the closure we didn't get!
Overall, I rate the series five stars. There's plenty of spice, mystery, and drama. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good academy romance!
