I LOVED THE STORY AND HER WRITING IS INCREDIBLE IT WAS JUST WAY TOO DRAWN OUT. THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOK WAS SO LONG AND BORING WITH LITTLE SNIPPETS OF GOOD BUT OTHERWISE BORING. HER WRITING IS AMAZING AND YOU CAN FEEL THE EMOTION JUST NEEDED TO BE FASTER.

This book was probably the corniest book I’ve ever read. You can anticipate the ending about three chapters in. I’m not a fan of the writing- I genuinely think a first grader could read this book. Nothing special here. I think it was supposed to tug on my heartstrings but everything felt sooooooooooo corny that I could not connect or feel emotions for anyone. Just felt silly.

No need to beat a dead horse, but I love Kristin Hannah! This wasn’t one of my favorites by her, but still an amazing read. There is love, heartbreak, and even a little comedy here and there. Kristin Hannah’s writing just has a way of pulling me into a story and blocking out the rest of the world in the most beautiful way.
