I can't tell you how impressed I am to see this tackled in a children's book.
Visibly disabled people are often talked over & about-it's happened to me, to friends of mine.
Best Friend on Wheels, written by Debra Shirley & illustrated by Judy Stead, confronts this issue in an elementary-age appropriate fashion. I'm so happy to see this!
