Vivian Maier: The Color Work by Vivian Maier, Colin Westerbeck

With so little text, this is best consumed as a supplement to a biography. Photo editing remains a point of contention with Vivian Maier's oeuvre given her process of working, and the circumstances in which her images were discovered. Some of the plates presented are stunning; others less so. Fun fact: Maier shot more than 100,000 images in her lifetime.

Interesting collection of Maier's colour photography, which outlines a deeper technical understanding of the form. Many outstanding images.

The introduction by Westerbeck and Meyerowitz provides informative commentary.

I loved the introduction by Colin Westerbeck and found it to be really informative.. unlike what John Maloof did in his documentary. I'm glad he didn't contribute much to this book and that he let the actual experts speak. (I'm thankful that Maloof collected her works though)
