Being in the perspective of a mortuary technician was different. It was really interesting hearing all the terms and procedures, but also some of the descriptions had me thinking "eww" (but that's as someone who isn't great with blood and gore 😅).
Turner spun a really intricate mystery, that I wasn't expecting. The main character, Cassie, was likeable, but I didn't have much love for Phyllida, something about her just annoyed me.
It was obvious that Turner either has a background in medicine, or did some really good research to support the story.
Overall, a good read!
