Half a star taken away from this masterpiece for the jarring and horrible racial slurs and sexism that cropped up on occasion.

It was good. I hated every character, but I think that was the intent so that is okay. One of the most brilliant works of prose from the twentieth century. Very good.

this book is good, although i was very confused at some parts. i like most of the characters and the story itself was interesting so i definitely recommend it if you would like to read a short classic. :)

A classic, the true definition of one actually. I'd say that it's one of my favorite novels, even with its flaws. Part of me wishes that there was more to the story, a stronger focus on Nick
after the death of Gatsby.
But, in its entirety, it is fun and captivating, fantastical and dream-like. I do wish I could experience the dream world of The Great Gatsby.
