Are we finally done with SERVEYOU inc? I hope so, of course I thought the last volume was the last of it.

This was a pretty average volume with a few standout moments. The Doctor and crew end up in the Roman Empire and take on a very interesting subject, the conversion of Rome from being polytheistic to Christian. This was a very unique bit of DW explaining a historical event that I found to be well executed and clever.

Second...Cybermen.

Thirdly, the plot had real weight and consequences. Often the plots of these comics feel less, like they have to save the best for the show, and they can't add anything to the DW universe that would change the lore or history of the Doctor. However, in this volume they really attempted to give the reader an epic story arc finale.

Lastly, and most importantly...

That's right an appearance from The Goblin King the gremlin king. Ever since I realized Jones is a David Bowie stand-in, I've been waiting to see him dressed as his character from my favorite movie of all time Labyrinth.

It was everything I could hope for and I very much enjoyed seeing various lines from my beloved movie in the Doctor Who world.
