The perfect ration between smutty scenes and plot that drew me to the previous books was missing here, but it was still a great read.

So disappointed this didn't end up working out for me! I loved book 1 of this series but the next two were just so dragged out with way too many unnecessary plot points.
We never change antagonists but there are so many instances of them being defeated and then coming back and then being defeated and coming back and god at some point, I just wasn't invested enough anymore.
Especially with this one, there's a moment at 75%/80% that didn't feel like a typical "oh there's gonna be drama!!"-moment but a "this book is OVER, this is written as if it's OVER, why are we continuing"
I still loved most of the characters, especially Lucas really won me over in this installment and while Lydia and I weren't always on the same page, there are definitely worse MC's.
Like others have pointed out, Lex is just sadly such an infuriating character at times, truly the queen of miscommunication and I would've been fed up with her about two books ago.
In conclusion, more sex, less miscommunication please.

I did not enjoy the sex talk, especially all of the "daddy" stuff was weird. I would have enjoyed this more if there had of been more relationship building outside of just copius amounts of sex scenes. But it was just sex and traumatic events.
