As this series goes on, I've noticed that less and less time is being spent getting to know the new Bloods. It's like they arrive suddenly, we learn their names, they get down and dirty with Shara and then on to the next. I'd like to actually know more about the characters than just their sexual preferences.

Easily my favorite of this series SO FAR. I loved the richness that Mayte added to the story and enjoyed seeing more of the vampire world/politics that our queen is getting thrown into!
So far, just getting better and better as the books are going! I’m seriously enjoying getting deeper into this world, and glad I have many books to go!

It was hanging at around a 3.5 star for most of the book, but honestly the addition of a female/female interaction during sex at the end was really good. I wish they did more than kiss and boob touching, and I would have loved an all out orgy, but we can’t always get what we want lol. Didn’t think I’d ever get mad at Shara for not wanting to have sex with people, but here I am

Another great book by the amazing Joely Sue Burkhart. I like the other books a bit better than I liked this book but that's just a personal opinion. I still could not put this book down, just like the other books. I really recommend this series so much, I can't and don't want to stop reading them.

Well now, it’s getting even more interesting! Shara continues to add to her Blood, maybe having nine men now? (it’s a bit much) As the title suggests, there is some light FF, some hard core MM, and a lovely MFFM sandwich.

The book has multiple POV’s for each chapter, this quote is from one of the MM moments.
“You didn’t fucking purr.” Stepping back, he hauled me. up by my hair, twisted me around, and threw me up on the bed. “When I fuck you, you’ll purr. Loudly. I want you to vibrate my balls. Now make yourself useful and eat our queen’s pussy while our alpha fucks her, and I fuck you.”
I mean, need I say more to convince you to read this one? As with the first two books, there is LOTS of blood sharing.

Shara is building her empire, gearing up for a future battle. I really liked this one! Diving into Mesoamerican/Aztec religion and the history behind a new queen.

This series is such a surprisingly good palate cleanser of shameless smut within a matriarchal society

good so far I like the character growth for Shara can’t wait to see where the story goes and what lies ahead for the Isador Court.

These are pretty ridiculous at times and the 'plot' is mostly just: bloody vampire orgies + worshipping the queen... but they're quick reads and a fun enough time. The actual plot stuff that DOES happen, I tend to really find fun & entertaining -- aside from the dumb ants attack thing in this one (haha). But the background vampire lore... the Triune... the Aima court politics and all of that... I find intriguing! We just don't actually get a lot of that usually, but oh well! Still fun -- but not mind-blowing books by any means.
