The harem coming together is not believable. Other than that it's getting old that she's quirky and different.

Char is opening up to the idea to have a harem of her own. Bast gives her the green light to like the other heirs, and Andres doesn't waste a minute. Blaze, Logan and Theo need a little bit more of a push, but when Logan and Theo get captured by the rebels and and Char is blackmailed into coming to their hideout to save them, they find out that the rebels have support from the least expected place.
Like the previous books in the series, this one didn't disappointed! It ends with a cliffhanger that makes me wish book 5 was already out, but I'm working on my patience so I can wait... maybe!
There are also some hot scenes taking place with Char, Andres and Bast

This series is a mixed bag for me.

I like the world, and the overall arc. I have trouble with Charisma, the FMC - I like the geek girl thing she has going on, but she's sometimes too spineless and damsely for me. I don't like how she's constantly looking for a guy to tell her what to do.

I do like some of the guys a lot. Others, I would happily light on fire.

I want Char to quit the AMIA. I think I talked about that in another review. They treat her like a naughty child in constant need of scolding, when she's brilliant and hasn't done a goddamn thing wrong in terms of how she's handled the case. And she takes it. This goes back to my spineless comment - I want her to tell them okay, good luck, I quit ... just so they stop treating her like someone they own. I want her to have some damn respect for herself. She doesn't need them - she doesn't need any of them. They need her.

So, mixed bag. YMMV.

The more I read this series the more I'm starting to dislike it although at least the storyline finally started to progress in this book. I like Char she's pretty awesome but it seems like she never really gets many chances to shine, she has so many kick-ass skills, and all she does is stumble over her own two feet and program other people's METs from time to time.

As for the 'love' interests, I feel like there's an utter lack of romance in this novel. Char starts out as being friends with a guy and then somehow they just jump right into being a couple and fucking no dating or romancing involved. I just haven't felt any of the actual attraction that leads up to them screwing. They have admired how the other looks physically and the guys usually have some thoughts about how they admire Char's abilities or thoughts about her being 'cute' but none of it felt like real affection. I actually skipped over the sex scenes in this book! I never do that! Those are supposed to be the best parts of a romance novel for dick's sake!

I'm going to read the last book because I've read 4 of these so far and I do want to see how this story ends but I don't have high hopes for the actually RH aspect of this novel I'm mainly just interested in finding how they will crush The Resistance.

Holy Batman! This book was awesome...

This series just keeps better and better. Char now has 2 official boyfriends - yay! Then there's Blaze - he's cool, he's a jerk, you feel sorry for him then want to yell at him. I'll give him kudos for honesty though. Finally the cliffhanger is a rough one. Honestly this series is just amazing with wonderful characters, laughs and a great story line.
