I've enjoyed these graphic novels more than the books they come from! The streamlined plot, coupled with lovely art, make them fun read.

*4.5 Stars

Extra 0.5 stars for Adrian Ivashkov, who I didn’t really like at first (when reading the books) but after reading Bloodlines, I love. Btw if you read VA you should read Bloodlines.

My only gripe with the graphic novels was that if you haven’t read the books, and you go into it blindly, it could be a bit difficult to completely follow the story. That being said, I really like how well they explain the system at the beginning. Also the art style is pretty good and fits the ~vibe~ of VA.

Oh also a certain death caught me off guard and I had to reach into the depths of my brain to remember if they actually died.

 Adrian...mmmm...

Adrian was in this one. I love him. He totally redeems this series for me. And can I just say, he's drawn quite handsomely.

Adrian aside, these graphic novels aren't horrible. It's nice to have a visual to go along with the books. I will say that I don't find Lissa beautiful like how she's described in the books. These are pure fun. That's pretty much it.

They are making me enjoy the series a little more. Not quite sure why lol.

The issues I had with the first book remain (a little too breezy and condensed, some of the artwork is a bit odd) but I gave Frostbite a slightly higher rating for Adrian. *dreamy sigh* So nice to get a visual. Of course every time he says "Little Dhampir", my mind is going straight to "Sage".

*WARNING: There may be spoilers, but big ones will be marked.*
I really liked this book, but think that they should have put the introduction bit into the first book...Just saying! Anyway, great artwork, by Emma Vieceli, (It was just as great as the first graphic novel :) and Now this book has given me hope that there is going to be a graphic novel for SHADOW-KISSED!!!!

I reccommend this for people who like manga and graphic novels and for people who liked the Vampire Academy series.

Wow these comic books would not work as an entry point to this series at all, would they? This reminded me of the fourth Harry Potter film: too compressed to be at all enjoyable to anyone who hasn't read the book first. Also the art is still really ugly. 2.5 stars
