Honestly I was surprised I liked this as much as I did but I guess it's easier to be more generous to mid to late TVC after seeing how bad body thief was.

This was the worst book out of this series I've read thus far. It started out as boring and then to just plain gross. She really needed an editor.

Still a good Anne rice book, but I felt like this was more a treatise/historical book on religion. I don't mind the theme, but honestly about 60% of this book is about heaven and hell, and we see little of our precious LeStat. Maybe this was the problem. So much of the book was Memnoch that LeStat got lost.

I don't know. I still liked it, but just be aware this book has a different flavor than the others.
