I read it for a certain purpose but the dialogue was not great. For the amount of intimate scenes, a lot of things were repeated/ rushed in their descriptions. I did not like the “plot” but it did serve a purpose.

The beginning was ROUGH - and honestly, this is purely a guilty-pleasure smut read - super unrealistic behavior, questionable characters, AWFUL use of slurs, etc. And I am absolutely FURIOUS with the ending - but I'll probably be picking up the 2nd book just to have some sense of closure after that atrocious cliff-hanger.

This book was definitely on the harder side of dark books I read. I loved it for the most part. Tate is extremely confident in who she is and she has come far on her own without her families money. I adore her. Her friend, Rus, is so sweet and great. And I love how protective Tate is of her. Now Ang, he's harder for me. On one hand he is ridiculous and the things he says to her after how open Tate is. On the other hand he loves her and is there when she is broken. And Jameson broke her good. I cannot believe the shit he did. I hope Tate is OK or at least alive. Ang really really was there for her.
