This was so mid and way too long. It was definitely repetitive and had extra characters with their own plots as another “lesson” that didn’t need to be included. However, I’m not absolutely heartless and still sobbed reading the last five pages.

Really disappointed as the house in the cerulean sea is one of my fave books but this one just really fell flat to me, I didn’t care for the characters or the story and kinda just felt like a self help book masked in a fantasy story and trying to hard to be deep which isn’t my vibe at all

I wanted to like this book so much after loving Cerulean, but I just didn’t. The dialog was too simple and the content felt like it could have worked in half the number of pages. Seeing that it was so hard to  write by the author due to how personal it was, I gave it an additional .5 star that it was a healing journey.
