i think the book is eh at best, good plot twist. I suspected the murderer very early but i was wrong and was surprised. I think i would’ve liked it better if i didn’t listen to the audiobook.

You Will Be Mine by Natasha Preston was action packed from the opening scene. I love Preston’s fast pacing in her books, as they delve right into the heart of the thrill (no pun intended) rather than having to wait for the story to build up. I thought that this story had a lot of characters introduced very quickly, and while it made sense later, I would have liked for the characters to be introduced a little more slowly, so that their individual personalities could have shown a bit more. I feel like because of this I didn’t get as invested in the characters as I have with some of Preston’s other novels. I did, however, like the overall creepiness of the story and thought that it was the perfect horror for a holiday that is anything but. I’m a pretty big fan of Preston’s book, as I like the way they usually have a very twisty ending, but this one did feel a little bit out of left field. I still liked it, but it didn’t feel as shocking as some of the other endings have. It also felt a little abrupt. That being said, it was still a really enjoyable thriller by an author I really enjoy, so I think if you’re looking for a good horror to read for Valentine’s Day, this should be the book you pick up.

This book was very interesting and even though I thought It would be boring, It brought new things to the table with a new character! Some things were questionable. For example, we all know Collin is tall and skinny but in the first chapter, he punches a police officer in the face and the police officer dies…like how is that even possible? I feel like Collin probably has noodles arms but somehow is still able to kill someone with a punch in the face?? Also in chapter one, the truck crashes but lands straight and the police officers falls from the bench and somehow dies from that. I get that maybe he hit his head hard on the floor but still… and there was quite the grammar mistakes but overall, I enjoyed reading this book. I LOVE the little romance there is between Henry and Becca! I’m kinda surprised Summer got engaged at the end because they always fought in the book but I guess good for them!
I also found it odd for Collin to not immediately kill Chantelle and how he gives her time to explain herself and then takes her as part of the family

Fast-paced, very eventful, characters made dumb decisions though. I took a glimpse of the last page before I even read the book and got the ending spoiled :( I think the ending would have been very mind blowing through
