This was my first experience reading a Christie novel and I’m so disappointed. I hope others are better. With the author’s renown, I was hoping

the killer wouldn’t be the person who was established to have motive, means, and opportunity in the first few pages,

but unfortunately it was. You could read only the first few and last two chapters of this book and it wouldn’t take away from the plot.

Well this was certainly fun!! This was the first Agatha Christie novel where I was remotely right about anything, so I don’t know how to feel about that 😅 Not her best mystery but still a good festive read for spooky season! :)

This book was fine I guess. I did not feel especially attached to any of the characters. It was a lot of moralizing about "kids these days" and also a lot of characters said the same exact thing over and over? We get it! You all think that they are letting to many people out of the asylums.

I read it because I wanted to know what happened, but I don't feel any need to read any more Agatha Christie.
