This was a sweet and soft read, perfect for summer! I loved getting to see Morgan figuring out who she was outside of her friend group. Especially when she finally just let herself be in the moment with Keltie and not let what other people might think get to her. I loved seeing her and Keltie falling in love over the course of the summer, it was so sweet (even if they did hide it from everyone). Also! Getting to see Morgan’s conversation with her mom after being outed by her brother was really nice. All in all, The Girl From The Sea is getting a solid four out of five stars!

Divorced parents (dad left/not in the picture), main character almost drowns but is saved by seal-girl. Family kind of fighting. Plus lots of kissing (nothing further than that, just lots of it)

little brother does out older sister to family and friends at dinner, but its not overly malicious and is forgiven and made up for. Also supportive family which is lovely

This is a very cute book with a beautiful illustration style. The pace of the romance made it fall a little flat for me, but overall I enjoyed it. It has a lovely plot, relatable characters, and strong (positive) messages.

Super, super cute!! I loved Keltie; she's so funny and sweet. Definitely the best character alongside the brother (I'm not sure why I like him so much, but I do!!) 

I didnt quite like the ending

i wanted their "true love" happily ever after, dammit!!

 

I wasn't a fan of Morgan's friends (I really dislike Serena LMAO) and I wish we got to see more of her familial issues, but otherwise this is a cute, cozy sapphic read!!
