A common issue I have with Graphic novels are that they start way too fast and that's how i felt with this. After we got through the beginning, I felt like the pacing evened itself out.

The ending was sad, but I think it's for the best. I really liked the reveal at the very end!!! I thought it was cute.

So beautiful and touching. A gorgeous reimagination of Selkie mythology.
The art is so beautiful and I especially love the imagery of Keltie and her seal skin/ transformation.

This is a very cute book with a beautiful illustration style. The pace of the romance made it fall a little flat for me, but overall I enjoyed it. It has a lovely plot, relatable characters, and strong (positive) messages.

Omg, this was so cute! It’s been on my mental TBR for, I wanna say, 2+ years now! Glad I got to it, I love coming of age/Queer coming out stories so much and I loved Morgan and Keltie! I wish it was longer! I really enjoyed the art style and vibrancy of the colors, I thought it worked really well. It ended on more of an open note, which I thought was a smart touch. I wish we got to see Morgan interact with her friends more, I felt like the relationships didn’t have a lot of depth, so maybe a scene earlier before Keltie comes into the scene, would have helped. I love graphic novels so much, and I might pick this one up to keep around. I also really enjoyed seeing body diversity throughout. I would recommend if you want something fun with some serious tones throughout. Tbh I think graphic novels are the reading slump healer, and this one def just made my queer art so happy.

A thoroughly enjoyable YA read. I really enjoyed the authentic teen chatspeak.
