Really interesting and thought-provoking book. I particularly liked the ending.

This book is so sick. Without a doubt the most mind-blowing book I have ever read. The book is split up into a bunch of parts and each is fantastic, but the last two are definitely the most interesting. There are so many super cool ideas about evolution and artificial intelligence and purpose and aliens and the limits of possibility. Also, Clarke had a super cool and unique writing process working in conjunction with Stan the Man Kubrick that's def worth checking out.

An amazing story with a uniquely fresh idea which is weird to say for an OG science fiction book from 1964. I liked the breakdown into different time periods and was gutted when certain sections ended.
The concept of the book really left me thinking about our role in the universe both in the past and in the future which is great as it’s usually only one! Are we moon watcher or are we the lonely species looking to seed the world for friends?
Loved the film but was left puzzled by Kubrick, the book a great alternative far better at explaining the monoliths but also HAL’s (logical) descent into madness. Which again is insane considering it’s from 1964 lmao.
Great read.
