"I could do things you would never forgive me for. But you'll always forgive your children"

"I wanted to rip my heart out and feed it to you because I knew you no longer had one of your own"

SpoilerWTF WTF WTF CON LAS ULTIMAS 100 PÁGINAS

This was one of two Colleen Hoover books I read at the same time. I will give her this, her reading style is soo easy to consume. I can't believe how fast I got through these given how bad they are. This one is much better than Nov 9. Hoover's writing style is still for actual toddlers, but she does decent with darkness. If she didn't try to make it romantic, it might even be worth 3 stars.

As is, though, this book is average at best. Lowen is very unlikable. Verity was a much more interesting character - and, as always, Hoover's shaming of motherly women who like sex remains a constant.

SpoilerAlso what's the weird deal with Lowan's drug addiction? Why was that never like... followed up on? And why did Crew eat a knife? Like? Hello?

Colleen Hoover used trigger warnings as a checklist and over-explained things too much to maintain the ‘suspense’ aspect of this suspense novel, but I found myself enjoying it and looking forward to reading further.

the ending was so fucking stupid? also the amount of graphic sex scenes are so unnecessary for a thriller book.

Honestly a bit creepy but Jeremy is such a romantic. I hate the last line so MUCH. This deviates so far from Colleen Hoover's usual writing style.

This book made me legit angry in the worst way possible. I don’t know how it ended up with 4 stars on here. Such immature writing and a terrible thriller piece, if I didn’t know any better I would say it was written by a 16 year old on wattpad. To all the people who think this is genuinely good thriller please read an actual thriller like Rebecca or anything by Shirley Jackson or Riley Sager. Or anything would be better than this honestly. (Gave it a .5 bc I got at least one emotion from reading this)

I've been around books for the past 6 Years and I know how popular Colleen Hoover is, however I have never read her work before. Booktok convinced me to read this taking this author from my should read pile to now I want to read more. I know this is different from her other work, but I absolutely loved this book! I never give 5 star reviews, but this one disvered it.. I'm horrible about reading what books are about before reading them so I had no idea what I was getting into. I was hooked from the very beginning. I could not put it down I just kept wanting to find out more. I was shocked and terrified the whole time. When I thought the book had resolved itself it twisted again. I know the main character is Lower, but I feel horrible for Jeremy. I was scared for both of them and crew.
I do advise caution for anyone struggling with mental illness or child or infant loss. As someone who has lost babies I hate people like variety in her manuscript, and would not have been able to read this book at certain points in my life.
