I like the writing style. It’s more creative than most of the adult books I’ve read recently, and it just reminds me how ya books are usually more creative with the writing. I wanted to read something similar to Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson because I loved that book, and this one seems similar. I really like the dynamic between Ravi and Pip. I think I enjoyed the first half and then I sort of stopped enjoying It because it got really dark. Finding out all these bad things that happened just isn’t enjoyable to read about. The story is gripping and hard to put down but I don’t think it needed to get so dark with having an animal kidnapping and death. I wouldn’t read it again, whereas with Truly Devious I have been wanting to read that one again because I just remember liking it all the way through the book. I don’t really know what to rate this, definitely not 5 stars but objectively I think it could be 3.5 stars. My enjoyment was probably a 4 for the first half and then changed to a 3.. I feel like choosing a rating is just hard. I want to love every book and always hope and think I will but I feel like this is a 3 star book. This is only the second murder mystery book I’ve read so maybe they just aren’t for me? I know it’s about solving a murder and that that can get dark but I’m interested in the process of solving the mystery, and I wasn’t expecting bad things to happen to the main character. I don’t think it was necessary to throw in someone stealing her dog. Overall, it was a well written and well crafted story, it kept me engaged and wanting to read it. I just didn’t love it.

Im not a mystery gal but when i saw one of my friends read this and enjoyed i just had to. This book was phenomenal. I was glued to it and definitely helped me recover from my sad reading slump. It makes me want to read the whole shebang again

<spoiler warning>
When they went into her house and you saw Andie’s room i just felt the tiniest bit sorry . Even after all the horrible stuff she did at the end of the day she was still somebodys daughter and the rest of the family did not deserve her

<spoiler warning >
 Also the dog thing was uncalled for. That sent shivers up my spine.

I don’t normally read crime but after hearing good things I finally decided to give this one a go. My god I was not expecting to be pulled into the story in such a way. I may have to read more crime novels because this one was really good. I loved the way everything progressed and the varying ways the clues are presented. The EPQ framing for the case was something I haven’t really seen before and I actually quite like it.

THE PLOT TWIST IS AMAZING. I was like "Huh? HUH?" I cannot put this book down, it's like calling me to finish it (It took 3 days for me to finished it) One of a thing that make me like this book is that this book is a page turner. AND MY SWEETHEART, RAVISHING YAAAASSSSS
