I was very not into Evan when this book started. Everything I'd seen of him in the other Fate books showed he was an ass and he did nothing at the start of this one to disprove that. I understood more of his behavior seeing his family life and pressures in the first few chapters, but he was still an asshole. Dang if he didn't go all gooey with Cece though! I love Cece by the way. She's adorable. Evan really grew up and matured throughout the book, although he was never a bad guy - despite being an asshole. Looking forward to more!

DISCLAIMER: This isn't really my type of book; too much (unnecessary) swearing and too explicit sex scenes for my taste. So keep that in mind; I know there are many who love these kind of books!

This is the fourth book in a series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I've read one of them before, so I knew what to expect. It's a fast and easy read and I'm quite entertained while reading. The "marriage of convenience" felt a little dated and out of place, but it suited the story.

The characters behaviour are a bit uneven. Sometimes they act their (young) age, but sometimes they seem much older. Evan is said to be a real asshole, and once in a while he really is, but to me it seems more like he persuades himself and others that he's a jerk. He's actually quite thoughtful, even though it doesn't come across as obvious. He does have kind of a short fuse sometimes...

If you enjoy reading hot and steamy romance novels you should try this series!
