The book was good, curiously enough the military plot/action was better than the romance, which was mainly due to the heroine being weird about it at times. The action, though, was really good, well written and believable. Towards the end I had the feeling the author was trying to wrap things up quickly, so that felt a bit flat to me. It should be noted that, while the romance is stand-alone, the plot isn't. There is a plot arc that goes beyond this book, which I didn't know before I started reading this book and it is something that (in my opinion) should be noted. Nevertheless, it was a good book and I will continue reading the series to find out who is behind everything.
