The story itself is powerful but for either an error on the side of the translator or the nature of the play itself, it failed to impress.
Also the translator felt that he needs to rhyme shit for some reason, completely uncalled for.

Absolutely insane. Probably my favorite of the Greek plays, but this one hits hard - all about human passions and insanity and all that fun stuff. Dionysus was a really interesting character, but I loved Agave and I stand by the fact that it wasn’t her fault. Men just love to blame women smh. But def a good read I recommend
