Paul has it in his head failure is not an option. Which is always good. Expect when you possibly could lose the love of your life.
Kiersten never expected to be a single mom, but here she is, killing it like the champ she is. She balances everything life throws at her. Even when she takes a job she has no experience with.

Falling for your boss is never in the plans, but you cannot deny the chemistry between Paul and Kiersten. Their story is a breath of fresh air. Loving, caring, and real. Characters getting into their own heads- which is what most of us do.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! This was like the OG Hart series for me. It grabbed me the way the early Hart books did and I felt so invested in the characters and the storyline.

Kiersten is a single mom who's been dealt a rough hand, but pulled herself up and lives for her sweet little boy who is the joy of her life. Taking care of him and supporting them both is her goal and there's no time for romance!

Paul is all business, determined to succeed. He's focused, hardworking, driven and - you guessed it - no time for romance!

Their paths cross when she comes to work at his bar. Sparks fly immediately. She doesn't want to get involved. He can't date an employee. Lots of obstacles in their way. Can they overcome their own hang ups and make it work? (You need to read it to find that out, I'm not telling!)

Loved the appearance of other characters from the series (including Jason Hart!) and the new side characters as well, especially Tammy who cracked me up.

This book is everything I want in an M.E. Carter book!

Kiersten moved to a new town to be closer to her friends who have become her family during her drama filled life. Paul is struggling to make his bar a success because he will settle for nothing less. When Kiersten is at Paul's bar for a friend's wedding reception she learns that Paul needs a bartender which is perfect since she is in desperate need of a job. While they both recognize that they work together so they are hesitant to cross that line, neither one can deny that they are drawn to each other.

I really wanted to love this one and while I liked it there were just to many misses for me. I was disappointed that there was no relationship development between Paul and Kiersten's son. There was more development between her son and Heath, her best friend's husband. I felt like so much of this book was spent developing her move, her relationship with her friends and the bar but I didn't really see Kiersten and Paul's relationship develop. Maybe it was just me but I didn't see it. It was fun and cute but I felt there wasn't enough of them together.
