Was late to the game on this one. Much different than the show, I liked the humor and greek chorus aspect of the book more. It was a very quick and easy read. I was wishing for a little more character development from some of the women, particularly Madeline. I feel like the show handled that better by having them all come together to protect Bonnie in the end.

Wanted to read as I loved the tv series, and even though I would have enjoyed it more if I didn’t know the ending it was still a great read. The benefit of watching the show is having faces for the characters which suited really well (apart from Madeline/Reese Witherspoon, but her character portrayal was spot on!)

Such an engrossing read. Loved it. Addresses a lot of domestic issues in a very touching way.

Another great story with well developed characters. As with her other books, they really pick up speed towards the end.

How can a book about such serious topics (domestic violence, blurred consents, sexual violence, murder) be SO. DARN. FUNNY? I laughed my way through this book. It had a bit of a “Where’d You Go Bernadette” vibe (in the way of being a book about serious subject matter that was also deeply funny). Now I need to watch the series on HBO!

SpoilerI loved this book about families and their children in a boarding school in Australia. The moms are always fighting about something (whose kid hit whose). One of the moms is in an abusive relationship and the other mom is poor and new to the area.

I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down and I really liked the characters. Their stories were unique and I audibly gasped at a twist at the end. Would definitely recommend!
