I felt like I listened to this audiobook at the perfect time in my life to feel inspired by the message of being open to opportunities, ideas, and adventures, and getting yourself outside your comfort zone. The audiobook was narrated by Shonda, and her personality came through loud and clear through her words, tones, and inflections. This made the audiobook so enjoyable, and I think I would have had a very different experience reading something that felt meant to be spoken out loud. Definitely enjoyed though!

Yes. Empowering, beautiful, but honestly repetitive and not to the point.

It’s probably more of a 2.5 but I rounded up.
first off, I made the mistake of getting the audio. I was sooooo distracted by her voice. Once I got past the voice and was able to focus on the content it was nice enough. I’m probably not the target audience.

I enjoyed the narration by Shonda Rhimes. Not only is she an amazing writer but she also narrates and presents very well. She comes across very likeable, down to earth, real, funny... like she's one of your girlfriends. I like how a few of her speeches where infused into the book as well. Her personality shined in those just as in the reading of her Year of Yes.

Fluffy and a little rambling, but filled with a positive message.

Audio book.
Loved listening to it, not sure I would have loved it so much in written form.
