This is a thrilling conclusion to the Under The Mountain series. It deals with the present issues but also harkens back to the first book in some cool ways. There is plenty of excitement and tension, and more romance than in previous books, which played out quite nicely.
I love the mix of technology and magic that Jeanette O'Hagan has created in this world, and that is seen very clearly in this final book.
Overall, this has been a great series. The novella-sized installments made them great quick reads to slot between longer books. As much as I love a good conclusion, it's a little sad that the series is now complete. No more to look forward to. However, the author has created a vast world with many more stories to be told, so I'm looking forward to those.
