I liked this book. I thought it would just be all MMA everything, but there was an interesting mystery/thriller thrown in. Although towards the end I was frustrated by the way the heroine always kept getting in trouble. The one thing I didn't like about this book was the way the heroine was very "damsel in distress" and how the hero had to take over and fix everything. For my thrillers, I prefer the women to give as good if not more than the men - yay girl power! But apart from that personal detractor, the rest of the story was sweet, the pacing was alright and the sex was satisfactory. It was a good read.

This book: This was mostly a decent read. I especially liked that the hero's internal narrative had a distinct voice from the other characters in the series, because his background is quite different from the others.

The series (I've read the first 4): There are some words and phrases sprinkled throughout the series that are decidedly not something Americans would think or say, and once in a while there's a US geography error. These little things are really distracting to me (either set your story somewhere you know better or get someone to check on these things more thoroughly) but I'm a stickler for detail. It probably only detracts like... ~0.5 stars worth in each book.
