Loved. The humor alone could’ve kept me reading for another hundred pages, but it was also a pretty clever mystery with some excellent character work. Totally original plot, too. I’d be interested to see the characters develop even further, but I think this is a super fun start to a series.

Sophie, the protagonist's best friend and spirit guide, died as a teenager. Other ghosts are abundantly present in the book in various bodily states. There is a ghost child. The protagonist deals with a lot of loneliness and sense of tragedy which seems to overarch most things, but the narrative voice is like a friend retelling to you and it's silly.
