I didn't love the pacing of this one - I'm not totally convinced this couldn't have all been one book. It felt like we were trying to do too much in the latter half of the story. There were too many big crescendos and then the falling action kind of dragged on.

Overall though, I loved the way the mythology built on the first book and felt more fantasy -y. The plot is this book's weakest link, but I liked the setting and the characters and the overall concept pretty well.

Rating: 3.75 ⭐️
Though I loved the series and the world building between them, this book didn’t quite capture my heart in the way I thought it would. The pacing was quite slow so it was hard to remain captivated. Definitely a cute book with some really GREAT quotes but not a five star for me!
My favorite part: The romance between Iris and Kitt.

Ruthless Vows delivers a compelling conclusion to the Letters of Enchantment series. The world-building and character development continue to impress, and the plot is filled with twists and turns that keep readers engaged.
The romance between Iris and Roman remains a highlight, deepening as they navigate the challenges of war and betrayal. Their love story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking, providing a powerful emotional core to the narrative.
However, the pacing of the story can feel a bit uneven at times, with some sections feeling rushed while others drag.
Overall, Ruthless Vows is a satisfying conclusion to a captivating series. Fans of fantasy romance will appreciate its blend of action, intrigue, and heartfelt emotion
