Not as good as the first duology and pretty long. But man did that betrayal cut deep

I loved The Bridge Kingdom and The Traitor Queen, which was why I decided to pick up The Inadequate Heir from my Audible Catalog. I’m so glad I did. This book is soooo much better. The story follows the same timeline as both TBK and TTQ. I loved the worldbuilding and the plot line. And best of all, I loved Zahra and Kerris. Their characters fleshed out so well. And that ending! I normally tend to hate cliffhanger endings but this one was done so well and in character with the style Danielle L Jensen followed for TBK. Can’t wait for the next book in this series! 4.5 stars overall!

This one didn’t keep my attention as much as the others. It was interesting reading it from a different pov but I found it a bit slow at times

There are a lot of things I enjoyed about this book, but there were more things I didn't. I think the biggest negative to me was that it took place at the same time as the previous book, just different POVs. That is usually a negative for me in general. I'm really sad about that because I enjoyed the first 2 books so much. Not sure if I'll be continuing the series.
