Started slow with lots of characters but biting.. Them out office up and became a great paced adventure, I did however catch myself spacing out during the story a few times. The story has very interesting characters, the villains are pretty dark, an evil mom, a vile dad and others.. Some might find the relationships triggering.

Not sure what I think about the ending; it's rather bleak. Not sure what I think about the magical infection of the soul that's going on, either, or how manipulative every. single. character. is. But oh boy, it's still a very compelling story.
