Also on my bookshelf for years, I strangely read the heavily referenced book Black Lamb, Grey Falcon last year. I appreciated the other StoryGraph review that there are nuggets within this very anti communist, pro-Reagan, anti East/Turkey/Middle East, lover of the east vs west dichotomy. I appreciated the details and historical summaries. There is a lot about Jews and their horrific extermination in these Balkan countries that I had not heard details about. I was surprised Bulgaria, Albania, and Greece were included in the Balkans but I learned a lot. I’m surprised as the author was as well in the intro where Bill Clinton read the book and decided to not support Bosnia. There is so little about Bosnia.
