This book chewed me up and spit me out then kicked me in the stomach and hurled me across the room. Loved it

I think the homophobia soured this a little for me

The plot isn’t compelling enough to convince me to care about Mr. Ripley. The ratio of lulls to excitement is 300:1.

Patricia Highsmith made me root for this fecking sociopath with all his mood swings, yearning, insecurities and ENTITLEDNESS.
An excellent book. Can't wait to see the film.
