I have no words that could accurately describe how psychotic and twisted this book is. I’m not a thriller reader at all and still found this book quiet good, and definitely did what it’s meant to do - freak you out a bit. It was so disturbing on EVERY level, but I couldn’t stop reading or wanting to know what would happened next. 😳 Don’t do what I did and start reading it at night! Definitely read the trigger warnings on this one because they are intense. I’m team manuscript all the way. I will say if you like how it ends, skip the bonus chapter, the bonus chapter ruined it for me.

Very entertaining book. Something very different from Colleen’s romance books that I’ve read. It was very eerie and tense at times, which I loved. This might be my second favorite Colleen book I’ve read.

Nothing could have prepared me for the twists and turns of this book. It has a deep unsettling thread of grief and despair throughout the whole thing. Overall a fast read that had me gripping the sides of the book the whole time.

I know Colleen Hoover isn’t really for me but I had to read this for book club. I straight up hated it. It was dark and depressing and uncomfortably tense to read (and I like thrillers). It built to this incredible climax and then the final ‘twist’ kind of ruined it for me. 

Lower was an incredibly flat, not-like-other-girls heroine and even though she had an interesting backstory it barely seemed to count for anything plot wise? 

And god knows why everyone was falling over themselves for Jeremy (which, no offence, is an incredibly unsexy name). 

Do yourself a favour and check trigger warnings before if you’re sensitive about anything because there is a lot of miserable content here!
