okay i theorized who the kidnapper was after a single sentence in the first book. it was something abt him getting beat up and then how the kidnappers were willing to see him or whatever. that sentence and it’s clarification in the reveal was not what i thought. i kinda thought after the david thing in this book it was gonna be that he had someone on his team beat him up too BUT whatever i was correct in who it was and honestly slay. i never contemplated a different person i was just like oh it’s him definitely. however i’m annoyed i was right tho BECAUSE i knew it was him and i wasn’t expecting anything else.

This is definitely better than the first one probably because we somewhat get closure but I don’t know how the third one is going to go. Honestly I can’t wait for the standalone cases

L kinda liked the first book and wanted to give this one a shot especially since the case wasn’t solved in the first. But now it is and there are still like 3 more books. I know I’m not the intended audience, but I found it boring and don’t know where else the series could go.
