Although I firmly believe that one cannot quantify their feelings of grief, I think it’s very important that this poetry collection receive five stars.
As someone going through a different grieving process currently, it’s still nice to be seen just as Berklie writes. Her content came into my life, just as hers was imploding. I’ve been dying to read this collection since she began speaking about it.

Berklie taught me so much about what life can look like when you embrace the things you love whole heartedly and remove the shame and stigma society tries to place on you for loving.

Her poetry has made me cry, feel seen, and understand the teenager who constantly watched a man claw his way out of the grave over and over again in the same way she does.

For that, I am eternally grateful I can give us nothing less than five stars.
