Not exactly what I was expecting, but definitely a good read nonetheless.

This book is not what I usually read, but omg this will be what I usually read in the future because omg I don’t need fantasy anymore I need more like this. I picked it up because of the beautiful cover and it was WONDERFUL.

5.7. Truly amazing, right up my alley (exactly what I expected of a book reviewed by KLG). Morally grey characters who screw up in big ways but learn to move forwards and live life and be happy despite this. All the characters, incl the protagonist, love interest(s), friends, family, etc were believable and flawed and so realistic. Much like PUitL, but much more explicit and dark. Themes of family dealing with mental health issues are heavy but well done.
