I read this book in a day at the beach while playing with the camera given to me as birthday gift this past year. I was hoping for a bit more technique and tips for the camera and a little less time simply defining parts of the camera, lenses, etc, but it was worth the time and it did give me the confidence to play with my camera and learn.

Exactly what it promises... a quick guide to the basics with concise language and as little jargon as possible. This book doesn’t offer much in the way of advanced techniques or applications of its material, but it does cover what I needed to know to get started.
