A solid, creative, and darkly introspective piece of science-fiction. Been on my to-read list for awhile and I can honestly understand why it's so well-loved.

Enjoyed this way more than the movie, with all due respect. Really wish Dick had written more in this world cause it’s honestly fascinating but reading a sequel from a different author feels wrong.

I hate reading cruel things. And the spider killed me a little bit. But this idea of people striving to own an animal in a society where things that are alive are few and far between is interesting. I guess I'll watch the movie now.
