This is just a steamy novella. Not my favourite by Eris Adderly but still enjoyed it. I guess as an atheist, the taboo stuff doesn't make sense to me much. Just realising that I care way more about other made up stuff (fantasy, Sci Fi etc, all of fiction haha) but I really don't like religion at all so even when it's in a fiction book it's like who cares lol. But I did enjoy our hot priest, David. Didn't see the twist coming and it was a weird tonal shift tbh. Off to read more Eris Adderly :)

Super quick and the story isn’t too deep. The smut is looooovely and really hits the spot if you like men with religious angst. Since it’s so short I’d say it was worth my time, but it’s not mind blowing

It was fine, but I didn’t really like the dynamic. It might have worked better if they were both real people, with real lives outside of fucking one another that we got to see. They felt very flat as characters.
The sex scenes were also pretty mild, truthfully. But on the plus side, it’s a quick read and the writing is easy. I didn’t hate it.

This book didn't really work for me. I expected the main female protagonist to be more of a villain and she wasn't. I also expected this novel to be a dark romance, but it's more of a taboo romance than anything. And it's just a lot of uninteresting sex scenes with barely any plot.
