DNF at 47%.
I was more or less enjoyed the book until one of the mc said that for the spell to work they needed to have a threesome. I then paused the audio, researched in the reviews to see if it would happen, saw that it would then shut that sh*t down!

Adrian and Sage's story continues how it left off in book one, full of intensity, heat and the supernatural. This is a series to be read in order and there is an overall series arc as well as developing relationships.
We left off with Sage and Adrian being requested at the Echelon Imperial council who it turns out are very interested in having these two, now very powerful, mages, on their side. There is also Salino's request that they need to plan for and Adrian still has his PI business with his partner, Xavier, bringing in clients. A lot going on to keep the MC's excessively busy but it all flows really well throughout the story and I don't feel like we miss out anywhere. Both book one and two take place over quite a short time frame, only days really for each, but there's no denying the strength of the bond and love between Adrian and Sage, and then there's what happens between Salino and Sage, the bond between a sire and his child. Relationships become intertwined and complicated, more so towards the end after the huge event that happens that Sage and Adrian help Salino with. It's entertaining to follow and also interesting to see how their opinions and feelings towards each other are changing. There's many layers to all of the characters in this series which I'm really enjoying. The cliff hanger were left with this time is so much worse than book one's with endless possibilities of what is to come and Adrian and Sage left with little choice than to follow orders.
This is such a great series. The two MC's quite literally the light and dark side of mages and balance each other so well in all aspects of their lives. I'm interested to see how book three unfolds and how the plot continues.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
