I found this very informative and it really helped me to realize that I am indeed perfectly normal. I enjoyed the science in the book and that it was written in such a way that made it easy to understand. While I did think there were a few too many metaphors in this book, the accelerator/brakes and garden metaphors made a lot of sense and really resonated with me. After reading this book I feel like I have the knowledge to better articulate why I am "different" from my significant other. However, it would have been helpful for me to have more specific examples of how to turn on the on's and turn off the off's since I am still not sure how to go about doing that for myself or how my partner can help or even what all of my on's and off's are. The book did get a bit repetitive at times, but on the other hand I will likely never forget the message that "we are all made of the same parts, just organized differently".

I also listened to the audiobook as I read along. I could have done without the janky piano music, but I enjoyed the conversational style of the narration and I always like when non-fiction books are narrated by the author. It feels more authentic and like I am hearing the words exactly as the author intended.

There's something for everyone in this book, truly.

If you have a female sex organs, or are sexually attracted to people with the same, you'll probably learn a thing or two. But if you don't fall into these groups, still see notes on anatomy, physiological needs, mindfulness, consent and other included topics that should probably be general knowledge for all humans.

The audiobook was interesting, the chapters came in and out with music that was apparently arranged by the author?
