the single book that got me back into reading. layne writes with such an eloquence that keeps the reader entranced until the end, and then wanting more. teacher & author by day, vigilante by night. this GRIPPING psycho thriller was JUST the book i needed to reignite the fire i had for reading as a child.

Was initially intrigued and interested in the story, but as it went along, it clearly wasn't a "feminist" take on a female serial killer. Lost interest halfway through.

This female rage subgenre of books is something I've been lacking in my reading.

Absolutely loved this.

WOW. I was expecting that because I read the synopsis, but I also WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT.

A female vigilante that murders male rapists and sexual predators?? And is smart and good enough to not get caught??? And does it over and over again, making it look like suicides???? WHAT. HOW.

The beginning was slow, I’ll be honest. But once it was revealed that Carly and Scarlett were the same person, just at different times in their life, it was off to the races! And then to find out that Jasper was actually a predator towards Mikayla, not that other creepy teacher guy?? Such a twist. I was sad to see Wes turned out to be a bad guy too. Now that I think about it, there was only 1-2 (Drew? And his husband?) good guys in this book; every other guy was shown to be a predator, rapist, manipulative, and just plain no good.

Will definitely be buying this one for the trophy shelf for sure, and will be checking out this author’s other books.
