Uma garota. Um garoto. A mãe dele.

I don’t think domestic thrillers is for me, the plot was good I just didn’t care or feel for plot or characters.

Overview: This type of thriller isn't my favourite. The dynamics between families etc. There is never much bloodshed or shocking revelations and the same was true for this book up until the incident happened and the lie was told. Then I sat up and took notice because I knew things were about to get messed up...and they did! So it was a slow start, but did eventually pick up so I gave it an extra half a star.
Good Points: Good tension and different POV from both Laura and Cherry. I was always on Laura's side, although the lie she told was a step too far in my opinion. But Cherry was a very manipulative character who I despised! But she was written well and i kept turning the pages because I wanted to see her fate.
Not so Good Points: A slow start and an unlikeable character who made me want to throw my kindle across the room on a couple of occasions. The ending was very abrupt and I thought could have been a bit...I don't know...it just seemed really abrupt. Daniel was a wet piece of tissue and I wanted to slap him!
Overall a decent thriller, but not one I'll be remembering for long. No major twists, but some traumatic moments.

This book is equally fast paced and frustrating. I think both women are nuts.

Two beautifully imperfect women, making themselves crazy over a seemingly perfect son & boyfriend.
