Jo Nesbo might be one of the most consistent series writers ever. Every book is just so good. This one centers on a serial killer targeting police. Multiple stories and villains keep the reader on their toes. Harry’s development continues - for the good and bad. He is truly a complex character, which I love, bc the author is not afraid to show his rough edges and how complicated he is, which just makes him like the rest of us—human. Great read.

A thrilling read with enjoyable characters and a gripping plot as Oslo's cops chase the mysterious 'Police-killer'. There were many twists and turns from beginning to end, maybe a tad too many just for the sake of being twists. On multiple occasions false tension was built, and while thrilling, I felt a bit cheated by the novel after a couple of those happened. Nevertheless, Police was a highly entertaining Nordic thriller, even without having read previous installments it was easy to follow along. Nesbo impresses.

I wouldn’t recommend this to someone that wants a methodical mystery laid out for the reader to solve in tandem with the characters. This is a thriller full of twists and turns, it will take you on an unpredictable ride and the clues are tiny details that are hidden in throw away lines. Overall enjoyable if you don’t mind just following along.
