Loved the writing, loved the immersive atmosphere, HATED the fatphobia, and wished the relationships between the main character and her mom and Max were fleshed out more. Overall, I enjoyed the book but thought it tried to tackle too much. Excited to read The Rooftop by this author!

The writer is very eloquent with her speech. There are poems at the beginning of each chapter that I loved. This book is more of a book to read just to read. The story line doesn’t really go far but her words are really good and I enjoyed it nonetheless.
