I don't usually appreciate unlikeable heroines in romances, but I didn't find Sophie unlikeable at all. She was bold, brash and wonderfully honest. She didn't shy away from her mistakes, but faced them head-on and I admired her for that. Trevor was a sweetheart from the beginning and I loved how he insisted on getting to know the true Sophie, loving her as she was. All in all, another enjoyable book by this author!

I had trouble getting into this book because I didn’t connect with the main characters but Kennedy Ryan’s writing is great and I liked the way the story ended. If the rest of book was like the last few chapters, I would’ve liked the book more.

This is my first time reading anything by Kennedy Ryan which also means I came in on the 4th book in a series of connected standalones. Apparently Sofie has created quite a reputation for herself in the other books and this is where the author gives her redemption.

I actually liked Sofie but can totally see that bitchy side of her. I can only imagine how awful she seemed when her POV wasn't available. I can't be sure but I definitely feel like after seeing her side of things and getting to see the internal battles she had within herself and the way her family treated her, she gets full redemption.

Trevor is not your typical BBF. He's an sweet-talking, southern drawling, alpha male who just so happens to also be a do-gooder with a spotless past and a bright future. He's very patient with Sofie and refuses to let her treat herself with anything but respect, let alone anyone else she comes in contact with. He was super swoonworthy and I fell in love with him instantly.

This story moved at a pretty slow pace but the ride was so worth it. Outside of the developing relationships between Sofie and Trevor there is a bit of a suspenseful storyline that will suck you in and have you begging for answers and justice.

I don't know how Kendall Ryan hasn't crossed my radar before now but I do know that she's there now and that I'll be going back to read the other books in this series. It could be interesting to see the full effect of bitchy Sofie now that I know what's behind her facade.

I never would have predicted this book would be my favorite of the series but here we are. Trevor and Sofie were such a dynamic couple - I wanted nothing more than for the two of them to be together, supporting one another and taking on the world. This was a stellar finish to the series.
